The TD Ottawa Jazz Festival swings into spring with its 21st annual live auction and benefit concert featuring the Montreal Guitar Trio at Library & Archives Canada (395 Wellington St.), March 8 at 6pm. We’re giving away two passes to this fun filled event!
The evening includes canapés from three of Ottawa’s celebrity chefs: Joe Thottungal (Coconut Lagoon), Tim Stock (Play Food & Wine) and Patrick Garland (Absinthe Café), as well as Thyme & Again Creative Catering sure to satisfy foodies. A cash bar will feature wines from Vineland Estates, cider from Ottawa’s Flying Canoe, and beer by local favourite Beau’s All Natural. The good people of Top Shelf Distillers will be preparing sumptuous custom cocktails.
There will be plenty of opportunities for you to get that special gift for someone close, too. Up for bid at 7pm will be a diverse range of exceptional lots including several exclusive opportunities that will have you competing with the paddle: After the auction, sit back and enjoy an inspiring performance by the Montreal Guitar Trio.
Described by CBC as the “hottest” guitar ensemble in Canada, the Montreal Guitar Trio has become a force to be reckoned with. For more than 20 years, the Trio’s virtuosity, rigour, creativity and impressive stage presence has allowed them to win fans around the world. Guitarists Sébastien Dufour, Glenn Lévesque and Marc Morin, have given hundreds of concerts in some of the most prestigious venues around the world.
