About the Beer:  For this redheaded\bearded Irish, March 17th is one of my favourite days of the year. I do however have issues with green beer. How about you try the other Irish colour… RED! Strong Patrick by Beau’s is truly the right colour and taste for the St-Pat’s celebrations. I only wish they had this year round. When Febrewary comes around, load up to make sure you have enough for the occasion. And for this occasion what better pairing with a strong beer than some punk rock and celtic rock.
Commercial description:
Strong Patrick is a 6.7% ABV interpretation of an Irish Red Ale. Part of the batch has been aged in whiskey barrels and then reintroduced, adding subtle wood and vanilla nuances. The style is typically lightly hopped, well rounded and balanced, with a pleasant toasted malt character. Brewmaster Matthew O’Hara describes the beer as luscious and red-hued with a malty backbone, showcasing toasty and toffee notes complemented by warming alcohol & whiskey flavours.
