Morning Metal – Interview w/ James & Trinity Noble – Triple Threat Ramp Jam!
457 The Edge
TripleThreat Ramp Jam
Welcome back guys!
With every 457 The Edge show comes a great theme – what is Triple Threat Ramp Jam about?
Trinity – Thanks for having us back! This year is 457’s Sixth Annual Triple Threat Ramp Jam, Ottawa’s biggest skateboarding competition. This event features skaters going head-to-head in an epic skate battle against some intense obstacles in hopes to be crowned Triple Threat Champion and win a year supply of skateboards from New Beginnings Skateboarding.
James – It’s sure to be an epic time, hard to believe this is our 6th year of 3T. This event has always been about the skateboarding and the music! We’ve got a brand new mini ramp at 16ft wide open throughout the night and free to skate, not to mention a great line up of bands, DJs, a Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD video game contest and more!
When is the Triple Threat going down?
James – This Friday night, November 7th at 7.30pm. Doors at 7:15
Tell us what we can win through the contests or through giveaways?
Trinity – Like always, this event will be stacked with giveaways. Skaters who enter the 3T competition have the chance to win NBS boards for a year and some huge swag packages from the night’s skate sponsors.
James – Everybody can enter to win in the night’s grand prize draws for a $100 Bayshore Shopping Centre gift card, a pro complete Siren Skateboard and a Mophie Powerstation Mini. Plus anyone can win in our gift card giveaways. (Booster juice, Subway, iTunes, McD’s etc.), merch & CD gives and also more opportunity for skaters to win in our open entry Best Trick Jams.
What bands / DJ’s do you have performing at this year’s Triple Threat?
Trinity – This event brings a good mix of tunes featuring some amazing local talent. We’ve got the metal from Kemptville that is Cruelty in Colour, Ottawa hard rockers 457 SUBJECT2CHANGE, Edge of the Earth bringing the heavy and some rad pop-punk from Lees Avenue. There’s sure to be something to get everyone moving in the pit!
James – Stoked to also have back DJs Mattro and Jammin Julez, these guys kill it.
After Triple Threat on Friday, what are you guys up to next?
James – Close to one of our biggest events of the year with our 8th annual FEED THE NEED on December 5th, next month. With a huge focus on bringing items for the homeless and the hungry which is extra important this time of year with Christmas just around the corner. Also features SKATE4HUNGER skate comp.
Trinity – Six incredibly talented local bands will be uniting for the Cause of Justice at FEED THE NEED. You can expect some epic throwdowns and an overall amazing night full of music, skating, gaming, winning and hangouts for a huge cause. Perfect way to end off 2014, I’d say!
